Back Into The Undertow with Trio Of Nightmares

Back into the Undertow! Usually getting sucked into an Undertow is a bad thing but not in this case.

Beyond stoked to announce that one of my novellas is part of this trilogy by audio guru Fred Greenhalgh, who is also directing a new Star Trek audio series, a prequel to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. You can read more about Khan here. Fellow Mainers Kat Silva and Chris Bernier are the other two in this aptly-named Trio of Nightmares. My piece is being narrated by Jessica Taige.

This is my fourth or fifth audio adaptation. Have to say I absolutely love the format. There’s something to be said for hearing a story, rather than reading it, especially with the right sound design. Done right, it’s creepy AF.

Also honored to be back in Realm’s realm.

Borrowing a bit from Fred’s newsletter …

Dead Man’s Suit by Chris Bernier is about an obituary writer for the magickal dead – and the strangest funeral she’ll ever go to. Performed by Dom Salvacion.

Followed by The Collection by Katherine Silva, about a man in post-WW1 England who inherits an estate from his estranged father… And a collection of uncanny, deadly objects. Performed by Cliff Chapman (who you may know as the sinister Crowley in my production of Dream Breachers – or from his appearance in The Sandman).

The third in the trio is Carrion Harvest by Morgan Sylvia, about a girl from humble beginnings whose mother remarries a genetic scientist and hopes to improve their lot in life… That part goes well, but the cost of their new extravagant lifestyle will soon become deadly clear. Performed by Jessica Taige

Trio of Nightmares is available on all the major podcast platforms … Apple, Spotify, etc. I’ve also written for prior seasons of Realm‘s Undertow. (Blood Forest and The Pulse). Had a blast every time.

My bit isn’t out yet but the first two are. You can listen to Trio of Nightmares HERE.

Shares and listens much appreciated!
